      In the wave of building new-type power systems, grid-forming energy storage technology is advancing from an optional configuration to core infrastructure. On September 27, 2026 in Cambodia, the Huawei Smart String Grid Forming ESS successfully completed Southeast Asia's first GWh-scale Black Start with Load and Islanded Operation Capability Test, delivering an outstanding result for the project owner and developer SchneiTec and national grid operator Electricité du Cambodge (EDC).
