The EU Battery Regulation's battery passport requirements will take effect on February 18, 2027. From that date, battery products entering the EU market must possess a digital record spanning their entire lifecycle, covering critical indicators such as raw material sources, manufacturing processes, performance safety, carbon footprint, and recycling information. The world's first pre-compliance data assessment report for the digital battery passport of Huawei's LUNA2000 series grid-forming ESS issued by VDE fully validates the product series' excellence in data integrity, traceability, transparency, and systematic management. It meets the core requirements for data quality and management capabilities necessary for future battery passport implementation. This is also the first battery passport qualification verification report issued by VDE globally, marking a milestone for the industry.
