3. Marketing activities, such as information about Huawei, including its products and services,
invitation to participate in Huawei’ activities (e.g. events, summits, conferences), or
participation in market satisfaction surveys
4. Promotional activities, like posting on social media or issuing press releases with images
and speeches of the speakers

to withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 4 of this statement -Article 6 (1)

3. Based on Huawei’s legitimate interest, which is the case of investigating and/or defending

Huawei only retain your personal data for no longer than that is necessary for the purposes
defined in this Statement. In particular:

• Until you withdraw your consent, or after 2 years of inactivity for marketing and promotional

Unless otherwise stated hereunder, your personal data will be stored in [Germany]. After the
retention period expires, we will erase or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise
required by laws and regulations. |
| How do we share your data? |
1. Huawei uses suppliers and service providers to organize the Event efficiently and to
guarantee your smooth and enjoyable participation. The processing of personal data in relation
to our suppliers is always commissioned by us and the parties will act only on our behalf as
personal data processors. Such processing is always protected with contractual arrangements to
ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with the laws and good data processing
practices. Huawei and its partners/suppliers shall establish technological, physical,
administrative and procedural safeguards all in line with the industry accepted standards in
order to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of the Personal Data processed;
prevent the unauthorized use of or unauthorized access to the Personal Data or prevent a
Personal Data breach. To comply with applicable laws or respond to valid legal procedures,
Huawei may also disclose Personal Data to law enforcement or other government agencies. If
Huawei is involved in a restructuring, merger & acquisition, or a bankruptcy or liquidation
lawsuit in a given jurisdiction, Personal Data may be disclosed in connection with the
transaction. Huawei may also disclose Personal Data when appropriate, for example, to execute
Terms and Conditions, when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical
harm or financial loss, or when it is in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual
illegal activity.
2. As a general rule, personal Data are processed and shared locally. However, since Huawei is
part of group of companies with global presence and offering transnational scope of services,
each affiliate is deemed to disclose Personal Data to other affiliates within Huawei Network.
The International Transfer of Personal Data to Huawei Network is subject to applicable laws and
shall be subject to adequate security measures. In countries where the legal level of protection
of Personal Data is considered as not sufficient, the affiliates shall take appropriate measures
to ensure an adequate level of protection of the disclosed data. The said transfer is secured by
the EU standard contractual clauses. You can request to obtain copy of standard contractual

3. Huawei may share your data in response to a legal process or request from a competent
authority based on an applicable law or in connection with legal proceeding or process. Your
data may also be disclosed as part of merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service
agreements) or transition of service to a Huawei group or other relevant company.

You can enter into the Huawei Data Subject Request Portal to exercise your data subject
right.
In every moment, you can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and
restriction to the processing of your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any
time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its
withdrawal.

Furthermore, if you think that Huawei is not processing your personal data in accordance with
this privacy statement or the applicable data protection laws, and without prejudice to any
