We, Huawei Digital Power Technologies Co., Ltd. and its global affiliates (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", and "our"), attach great importance to privacy information protection. Please carefully read our Privacy Notice ("this Privacy Notice") so that you can clearly understand how we collect and process your personal information.

This Policy Notice applies to Huawei website, and services that display or provide links to this Policy Notice. Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Notice or in other service specific privacy statements, the controller of your personal data is Huawei.

Please note that this Privacy Notice of Huawei Smart PV Community is for adult users only, and minors under the age of 18 (or the equivalent minimum age set by their jurisdiction) are not allowed to create their own user accounts. If we find that personal information about minors has been collected, we will delete it as soon as possible.

1 What data do we collect about you

Personal data refers to any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes described in this Notice:

• User account information: Huawei Uniportal ID, password, FusionSolar user account
• Personal contact information: name, mobile phone number, email address, address, city, country, zip code
• Company information: company name, company phone number, company email address, company website, company address, city, country, zip code, registration number, registration document, company logo, market share information
• Certificates of Huawei FusionSolar Certified Installer/Huawei FusionSolar Professional Installer: Certificate ID

To ensure our Services work correctly, we may at times place cookies and similar technologies (collectively cookies) on your computer or mobile device. Please see our Cookie Policy for details on the cookies we use.

2 How do we use your data

We will process the following data as necessary to provide you with the requested services and to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

2.1 We will collect and process your “User account information” (Huawei Uniportal ID, password) to allow you log in to and use the Account management services of providing services to installers, and user password retrieval.

2.2 We will collect and process your “Personal contact information” (name, email address) and your “Certificate information” (certificate ID), when you experience our Certification function on the Huawei Smart PV Community.

2.3 We will collect and process your “Personal contact information” (name, email address, country) and your “Company information” (company name), when you participate in our events on the Huawei Smart PV Community.

2.4 We will collect and process your “Company information” (as listed above) so that you can create an installer company account on behalf of your company.

2.5 We will collect and process your “User account information” (Huawei Uniportal ID, password, FusionSolar user account) to allow you log in to and use the Account management services of providing services to installers, and user password retrieval in FusionSolar APP

2.6 We will collect and process your Personal contact information (name, mobile phone number, email address, address, city, country, zip code) when you register your personal account and participate activities.

2.7 We will collect and process your “company information” (company name, business registration country, company located city, company registration number) and Company Administrator Information(name, job title, email, phone number) when you register your company in community. We will collect your company certification information (company name, business registration country, company address, company located city , zip code, company license or the company registration number, company phone number, company official email, official website address, company registration file, letter of authorization, the scale of installed capacity of inverter and energy storage system) when you complete your company certification so that you can participate in our events on the Huawei Smart PV Community.

2.8 With your consent, we will collect and process your “Personal contact information” (name, email address, country) and your “Certificate information” (certificate ID) to send you our EDM emails such as products and activities information, so as to help us to continuously improve the experience of our products and services. You can unsubscribe at any time by choosing User Center > My Profile > Edit to Withdraw in email.

3 How do we store or disclose your data

Your data is stored in the corresponding regions: People’s Republic of China(Dongguan), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Europe (Germany), Latin America (Brazil), and Middle East and Africa (Dubai).

Our service providers have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by contract and will not process your personal data for any other purposes. We will share or disclose your personal data in the following scenarios:

3.1 Sharing with service providers:

We use Huawei intragroup service providers. They will have access to your personal data and process your data only insofar as is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations to you. Your personal data will be shared with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd in the People’s Republic of China who will provide you with maintenance service. Huawei has implemented global privacy practices for processing personal data protected under various data protection laws. Huawei transfers personal data between the countries in which we operate in accordance with the standards and conditions of applicable data protection laws, including standards and conditions related to security and processing.

3.2 Disclosing to third-party service providers:

To ensure a smooth browsing experience, you may receive content or web links from third parties (hereinafter referred to as "third parties") other than Huawei and our partners. Huawei does not have control over such third parties, but you can choose whether to use the links, view the content, and/or access the products or services provided by third parties.

Huawei cannot control the privacy and data protection policies of third parties, who are not subject to this Policy. Before submitting your personal data to third parties, please refer to their respective privacy protection policies.

3.3 Legal or regulatory disclosures:

We may share or disclose your personal data to comply with applicable laws and regulations in response to requests from regulators, courts or government agencies, or to establish or defend our legal rights.

3.4 Business reorganization:

Your personal data may also be disclosed as part of merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service within Huawei group or to another company.

4 How long do we retain your data

We aim to take all reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage or loss. We will continue improving these measures to protect the security of your personal data. For example, we may use encryptions to ensure sensitive data confidentiality; we use trusted protection mechanisms to protect data from malicious attacks; we deploy access control mechanisms to ensure only authorized personnel can access personal data; and we raise awareness among employees about the importance of protecting personal data through security and privacy protection training sessions.

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Notice.

In the Huawei Smart PV Community service, the specific retention period of your personal data is as follows:

4.1 Data Deletion

Once you submit an application for deregistering your personal account or company account, we will start the data processing process immediately. We will delete your personal account data or company account data from the Smart PV Community after retaining the data for 15 calendar days, or within a specified period of time in accordance with local laws.

1. After you submit an application for deregistering your personal account, Huawei will delete all personal data (including but not limited to personal information and uploaded files) related to your account based on current technical capabilities. However, we will still retain some of your data to comply with laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements in the areas of finance, auditing, etc. For example, data related to your orders, including bonus point redemption and incentive activities, will be retained.

2. After you submit an application for deregistering your company account, Huawei will delete all company data (including but not limited to the company certification information and uploaded files) related to the company account based on current technical capabilities. Your administrator account will automatically become a personal account and your personal data will still be saved. Huawei will try to delete all data from your company account. However, in some special cases, we will still retain some of your data for reasonable and necessary purposes to comply with laws and regulations, handle outstanding transactions, resolve potential disputes or controversies, fulfill statutory audit or regulatory obligations (such as event acceptance and financial accounting), etc. For example, we may need to retain relevant transaction records and communication information from the data related to your orders including bonus point redemption and incentive activities to provide necessary evidence and basis during dispute resolution; or we may need to retain transaction financial information for a certain period of time to meet tax filing and audit requirements according to tax laws and regulations.

5 Your rights and choices

You have the following data subject rights and choices regarding your personal data.

You can have your data erased under certain conditions. (1) You can log in Smart PV Community to rectify your relevant personal data.
(2) You can log in Smart PV Community to o delete your relevant personal data and company information.To deregister a registered company account, log in to the Smart PV Community and choose My Profile > Deregister Company Account.
(3) You can log in HUAWEI Uniportal ID platform to delete your relevant personal data.(Check details about HUAWEI Uniportal ID)
(4) You can exercise your data subject rights, please describe your request in details here.
Right of rectification You can have your incorrect data corrected and incomplete data completed.
Withdrawal consent You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data based on your consent. (1) We may perform EDM push for you. You can cancel the subscription at any time by choosing User Center > My Profile > Edit to Withdraw or unsubscribe in email or EDM

Right of restriction of processing You can restrict the processing of your personal data under certain conditions. To exercise your data subject rights, please describe your request in details here under the following scenarios:
• The accuracy of your personal data is contested by you, for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of your personal data;
• The processing of your personal data is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data;
• We no longer need your personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
• Your objection to the processing of personal data is pending the verification whether our legitimate grounds override yours.

You can disable services of this Community on this Website. After you disable the services, we will stop providing services for you. Unless otherwise specified by laws and regulations, and Huawei Smart PV Community User Agreement, we will delete your personal information. If you want to use the services again after the services are disabled, you need to enable the services. Disabling the services will irreversibly delete your data. Exercise caution when performing this operation. For more information about disabling services of this Community, click My Profile in your account, click Disable Services in the upper right corner, and view the information on the page that is displayed.
