How Do I Replace a Fuse?

NOTE

The fuse inside the Energy Storage Module cannot be replaced separately. This section describes how to replace the fuse of the Energy Storage Control Unit.

Prerequisite for replacing the fuse: If the inverter is faulty, the fuse is likely to be damaged. In this case, check whether the fuse is damaged. If yes, replace the fuse.

  • Step 1

Before the replacement, power off the system.

  • Step 2 Loosen the screws on the fuse enclosure.
  • Step 3 Open the fuse box, remove the fuse, insert a new fuse into the slot, and close the fuse box. If you hear a click and the raised dots on the sides snap into the box, the fuse is properly installed.

How Often Do I Charge a Battery in Storage?

Do not store batteries for extended periods of time. The deep discharge during storage may damage batteries. If you have to store batteries, observe the following storage requirements.

Table 1-3 Lithium battery charge intervals

Required Storage Temperature Actual Storage Temperature Charge Interval Remarks
–10°C < T ≤ +55°C T ≤ –10°C Not allowed • Not reaching the time for charge: Use the batteries as soon as possible.
• Reaching the time for charge: Charge the batteries.
• Batteries can be charged for a maximum of three times during storage. Dispose of batteries if the maximum charge times are exceeded.
• The batteries must be charged to at least 50% SOC. Same as factory SOC.
–10°C < T ≤ +25°C 15 months
25°C < T ≤ 35°C 9 months
35°C < T ≤ 55°C 6 months
T > 55°C Not allowed

1. Dispose of deformed, damaged, or leaking batteries directly irrespective of how long they have been stored.

2. The storage duration starts from the latest charge time labeled on the battery package. If a battery is qualified after charge, update the latest charge time and the next charge time (Next charge time = Latest charge time + Charge interval) on the label.

Delayed Upgrade Description

After logging in to the inverter, if the FusionSolar app detects that the LUNA2000 firmware version is outdated, the app prompts you to upgrade the LUNA2000. You can choose immediate activation or delayed activation. If you choose immediate activation, the LUNA will be upgraded immediately after the firmware package is uploaded. If you choose delayed activation, the activation of the firmware will be performed four hours after you log out of the app.

How Do I Recycle Used Batteries?

NOTICE

  1. The Company does not recycle batteries. Contact local recycling agencies to handle batteries.
  2. If there are no such agencies in your area, you can contact the nearest foreign recycling agencies.
  • Step 4 Contact the nearest recycling agency.
  • Step 5 Recycling agencies assess the costs.
  • Step 6 Recycling agencies carry out recycling, which can be done in two ways:
    • Onsite recycling: Recycling agencies can visit your sites to recycle lithium batteries, but the price depends on actual conditions such as the distance and transportation expenses.
    • Centralized recycling: You can collect all lithium batteries to be recycled in one place for the recycling agencies to handle.

    NOTE

You need to cover the related transportation expenses.

  • Step 7 Recycling companies handle recycling. The recycled lithium batteries are at the disposal of the recycling companies.

Baud Rate Negotiation

• The baud rate of MB0 series inverter is 115200, that of the M1 series inverter is 9600, and the default baud rate of S1 is "9600". When S1 is connected to SUN2000-(12K-25K)-MB0, its baud rate will be automatically increased to 115200, so the S1's baud rate needs to be restored to 9600 before powering off the system, otherwise, the baud rate of S1 remains unchanged as 115200, and when using it with the M1 inverter, the baud rate will show inconsistent leading to communication failure.

• Steps: Use the Huawei FusionSolar App to scan the QR code to connect to the inverter, go to the Communication Configuration page, and select RS485 > Baud Rate Negotiation > RS485_2 > Baud Rate Negotiation > Restore to 9600.
