Huawei Supports Baywa to Build The First and Biggest Digital Single-site PPA Plant in Spain
12 Apr 2018

Recently, Huawei signs an 180MW project with Baywa, one of the biggest developer and EPC company in Europe, and also in the Spanish market. This project is currently the biggest single site PV plant that ever built in Spain, and will also be the biggest plant which is fully commercialized and built without any subsidy. Huawei will provide its SUN2000-60KTL and SUN2000-100KTL inverters to this project making it fully digital. This will be a big milestone for the digitalization of the Spanish solar industry and marks another step for advanced solar technology as nowadays 5G, Cloud computing, and digitalization is changing all the industries in our lives.

With “less cooper and more silicon”, Huawei’s multi-level topology enables its string inverters to generate higher yields with leading high weighted European efficiency at 98.8%, and the natural cooling technology accumulated from Huawei’s 30 years global leading wireless equipment research and development will provide the project with 0-Touch maintenance. Huawei FusionSolar smart PV solution takes power plants as products that can be delivered to customers. By optimizing and innovating the entire process, from power plant design, construction to O&M, Huawei demonstrates its core value of “Higher Yields, Smart O&M, Safe and Reliable”.

Mr. Sebstian Mohr, Sales Director of Huawei FusionSolar Spain says:” Based on reports released by global consultancies IHS Markit and GTM, Huawei was ranked No. 1 globally in inverter shipments for two consecutive years, 2015 and 2016. Huawei has built full partnership with global TOP50 PV customers, and is always willing to work with partners in both upstream and downstream of the solar industry to establish an industry landmark by building an open, collaborative, and win-win PV eco-system, while continuously creating more value and better experiences for its customers. By building this project, Huawei’s smart string inverter will set the benchmark for the digitalization of the Spanish solar industry leading more smart and digital PV plants to be built there.”
